Regular Season Round 17: Aaguacateros - Lenadores 92-96

An interesting game for Lenadores (9-6) which played road game in Michoacan against second-ranked Aaguacateros (11-5). Third ranked Lenadores managed to get a 4-point victory 96-92. Lenadores outrebounded Aaguacateros 39-28 including 28 on the defensive glass. Venezuelan forward Juan Herrera (197-81) stepped up and scored 21 points and 9 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners and forward Jorge Camacho (203-89, college: E.Kentucky) chipped in 13 points and 10 rebounds. American swingman Glen Rice-Jr (198-91, college: Georgia Tech) responded with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international Noe Alonzo (200-83, college: Grand Canyon) scored 13 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Lenadores and five Aaguacateros players scored in double figures. Newly promoted Lenadores maintains third place with 9-6 record having five points less than leader Capitanes. Aaguacateros at the other side keep the second position with five games lost. They share it with Fuerza Regia. Lenadores will play against league's leader Capitanes in Mexico in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Aaguacateros will play on the road against Santos in San Luis Potosi and hope to get back on the winning track.
