Regular Season Round 9: A.Costa IM - Roseto Sharks 76-68

There was no surprise in Imola where 13th ranked Roseto Sharks (2-7) were defeated by ninth ranked A.Costa IM (5-4) 76-68 on Sunday. Roseto Sharks were plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was swingman Benjamin Raymond (198-87, college: Xavier) who scored 25 points and 9 rebounds. Point guard Timothy Bowers (188-82, college: Mississippi St.) chipped in 16 points and 6 rebounds. Four A.Costa IM players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Wesley Person (190-95, college: Troy) who recorded 21 points and power forward Brandon Sherrod (198-92, college: Yale) added 13 points and 5 rebounds respectively. A.Costa IM moved-up to sixth place in A2. Loser Roseto Sharks dropped to the fifteenth position with seven games lost. A.Costa IM will face league's second-placed De Longhi TRV in Treviso in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Roseto Sharks will play at home against Orasi RAV (#8) and hope to win that game.
