No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Senigallia (5-2) won against at home 8th ranked Corato (4-5) 83-78 on Sunday. Guard Giacomo Gurini (192-84) stepped up and scored 38 points (!!!) for the winners and guard Marco Giacomini (182-94) chipped in 15 points and 4 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). The best for the losing side was naturalized Latvian forward Gints Antrops (201-82, agency: Interperformances) with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) and point guard Mauro Stella (190-84, agency: Players Group) scored 20 points and 5 rebounds. Four Corato players scored in double figures. Senigallia maintains sixth place in B with 5-2 record. Newly promoted Corato dropped to the ninth position with five games lost. Senigallia will face league's leader San Severo on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Corato will play against Civitanova (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
