Regular Season Round 9: Scauri - IUL Tiber 66-80

There was a small surprise when tenth ranked IUL Tiber (4-5) won against on the road 8th ranked Scauri (4-4) 80-66 on Sunday. IUL Tiber dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Scauri's 18. They outrebounded Scauri 38-26 including a 33-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Guard Andrea Scuderi (188-92, agency: Players Group) stepped up and scored 21 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and power forward Alessandro Cecchetti (200-91) chipped in 14 points and 10 rebounds. Four IUL Tiber players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Andrea Longobardi (199-94) with 26 points and naturalized Argentinian point guard Dante Richotti (179-85) scored 7 points and 5 assists. IUL Tiber maintains tenth place in B with 4-5 record, which they share with Bernareggio. Loser Scauri keeps the eighth position with four games lost. IUL Tiber's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Roma Roma S.Azzurra.
