Date: November 25, 2018
Fifth-ranked Orange Vikings (6-13) made lots of trouble for first ranked Sendai 89ers (15-4). Sendai 89ers managed to secure only two-point victory 74-72. However their fans expected much easier game. Sendai 89ers players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Jerome Tillman (201-87, college: Ohio, agency: Inception Sports) who helped to win the game recording 26 points and 9 rebounds. His fellow American import center Daniel Miller (211-91, college: Georgia Tech) contributed with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks for the winners. American power forward Andrew Fitzgerald (202-90, college: Oklahoma) answered with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 15 rebounds and guard Masamune Tate (178-88) added 11 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Orange Vikings. Orange Vikings' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Sendai 89ers have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 15-4 record, which they share with Hiroshima D. Orange Vikings at the other side dropped to the fourth position with 13 games lost. They share it with Nishinomiya S. and Aomori Watts. Sendai 89ers will play against Shimane Magic (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Orange Vikings will play against Yamagata and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
