Regular Season Round 6: Flammes - Tarbes 94-69

An interesting game took place in Charleville, where 6th ranked Tarbes (3-3) was outleveled in a road game by ninth ranked Flammes (2-4) 94-69 on Sunday. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Tarbes. Flammes dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to Tarbes' 42. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis (180-93, college: Connecticut) who scored 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). The other American import forward Haley Peters (190-92, college: Duke, agency: ProDep Management) chipped in 16 points. Four Flammes players scored in double figures. Coach Romuald Yernaux's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was American swingman Alexis Prince (188-94, college: Baylor, agency: LBM Management) who recorded a double-double by scoring 26 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Tima Pouye (174-99) added 16 points respectively. Flammes maintains ninth position with 2-4 record, which they share with Roche. Loser Tarbes dropped to the fifth place with three games lost. Flammes will face Roche (#10) in La Roche in the next round. Tarbes will play on the road against Basket Landes (#4) in Mont de Marsan and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
