Regular Season Round 7: DCU Mercy - Killester 81-60

Date: November 25, 2018
The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Dublin: DCU Mercy (#5) and 11890 Killester (#6). DCU Mercy (4-2) crushed visiting 11890 Killester (3-4) by 21 points 81-60. DCU Mercy forced 20 11890 Killester turnovers and outrebounded 11890 Killester 42-31 including 29 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Samantha Hyslip (183, college: Stonehill) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds. The former international guard Sarah Woods (174-88) contributed with 21 points and 4 assists for the winners. Four DCU Mercy players scored in double figures. American guard Christa Reed (180, college: Vanderbilt) answered with 26 points and guard Jade Daly (-91) added 13 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for 11890 Killester. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. DCU Mercy moved-up to third place. 11890 Killester at the other side keeps the sixth position with four games lost. They share it with IT Carlow. DCU Mercy are looking forward to face league's second-placed Glanmire in Cork in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. 11890 Killester will have a break next round.
