Regular Season Round 7: Tresnjevka - Beroe 66-94

Date: November 26, 2018
Bottom-ranked Croatian Tresnjevka (0-5) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 94-66 loss to third ranked Bulgarian Beroe (5-1) in Zagreb. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. The game without a history. Beroe led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Tresnjevka was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of Montenegrin center Ana Pocek (190-93, agency: ProDep Management) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. American center Breanna Lewis (196-94, college: Kansas St.) contributed with 19 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Beroe's coach felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American center Cassidy Clark (186, college: Truman St.) answered with 20 points and 7 rebounds and Ruzica Dzankic (179-94) added 18 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Tresnjevka. Beroe have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to second place. Tresnjevka at the other side still closes the standings with five games lost. Beroe will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Tresnjevka will play on the road against Buducnost (#5) in Podgorica and hopes to get finally their first victory.
