Bottom-ranked Olympique Antibes managed to get the second consecutive victory on Monday night. This time they won against seventeenth-ranked Cholet Basket 91-74. It's especially surprising that the victory came too easily and 17-point difference suggests that Olympique Antibes is in a good shape to leave the bottom place. And what about a second win in a row after ...nine consecutive losses. Olympique Antibes shot 60.7 percent from the field. Olympique Antibes had a 30-14 advantage in offensive rebounds. American power forward Franklin Hassell (205-88, college: ODU) responded with 14 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import forward Michael Young (206-94, college: Pittsburgh) scored 17 points. Olympique Antibes (2-9) moved-up to seventeenth place, which they share with Cholet. Olympique Antibes will meet higher ranked JSF Nanterre (#6) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Cholet Basket will play against JL Bourg (#8) and hope to secure a win.
