The game between closely ranked teams ended with 8th ranked Breidablik's (1-9) road loss to seventh ranked Haukar (3-7) 63-80. Haukar outrebounded Breidablik 57-36 including a 40-28 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. International point guard Thora Jonsdottir (171-97) notched a triple-double by scoring 23 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists to lead the effort and American swingman Lele Hardy (182-88, college: Clemson) supported her with 13 points, 13 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals. Even 18 points and 9 rebounds by American guard Kelly Faris (180-91, college: Connecticut, agency: LBM Management) did not help to save the game for Breidablik. Serbian-Hungarian swingman Sanja Orozovic (186-90) added 10 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for lost side. Defending champion maintains seventh position with 3-7 record. Breidablik lost eighth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with nine games lost. Haukar will play against higher ranked Keflavik (#3) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Breidablik will play against Valur (#5) to get more than just one victory in their record.
