There was no surprise in Santa Fe where 7th ranked BHY Tiro Federal (4-7) was defeated by third ranked Union SF (7-4) 81-65 on Friday. Union SF made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game. Point guard Emiliano Correa (188-91) fired a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds for the winners (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Naturalized Italian swingman Patricio Rodriguez (191-84) chipped in 8 points, 8 rebounds and 10 assists. Four Union SF players scored in double figures. Swingman Bruno Oprandi (190-85) produced 15 points and 8 rebounds and Leonardo Strack (188-93) added 13 points and 4 assists respectively for lost side. BHY Tiro Federal's coach Gustavo Lucato rotated twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Union SF have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Estudiantes O. and Hindu. BHY Tiro Federal lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth place with seven games lost. Union SF will face league's leader Barrio Parque in Cordoba in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
