A very interesting game took place in Putian. It ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 17th ranked Tianjin (1-14) to sixteenth ranked Fujian Nanan (2-13) 74-72 in the fight for the sixteenth place. Fujian Nanan made 17-of-21 charity shots (81.0 percent) during the game. Qingrong Lin fired 23 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Caijin Chen chipped in 19 points and 7 rebounds. Four Fujian Nanan players scored in double figures. Fujian Nanan's coach Songlin Gong allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Forward Ziqi Han (180-99) produced 19 points and 9 rebounds and American guard Ieshia Small (183-94, college: Maryland) added 12 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals respectively for lost side. Newly promoted Fujian Nanan maintains sixteenth position with 2-13 record. Tianjin lost ninth consecutive game. Tianjin at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the seventeenth place with 14 games lost. Fujian Nanan's next round opponent will be higher ranked Hebei (#9) in Hengshui and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Tianjin will play on the road against Blue Whales (#13) in Chengdu and hope to win that game.
