An interesting game for Perth Lynx (8-2) which hosted in Perth one of their biggest challengers Canberra Capitals (6-4). Second ranked Perth Lynx managed to get a 4-point victory 88-84. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Canberra Capitals. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Asia Taylor (188-91, college: Louisville, agency: LBM Management) who helped to win the game recording 21 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and the other American import swingman Alison Schwagmeyer (177-90, college: Quincy) who added 22 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. International forward Kelsey Griffin (188-87, college: Nebraska) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds and Canadian guard Kia Nurse (183-96, college: Connecticut) scored 17 points and 9 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Perth Lynx maintains second position with 8-2 record behind leader Melbourne. Canberra Capitals at the other side keep the third place with four games lost. Perth Lynx will play against Dandenong Rangers (#7) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Canberra Capitals will play against Bendigo Spirit (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
