Undefeated Gimle BBK (13-1) recorded its first loss in Bergen on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by fourth ranked Baerum Basket (10-5) 89-79. It ended at the same time the 13-game winning streak of Gimle BBK. The game was mostly controlled by Baerum Basket. Gimle BBK managed to win third quarter 27-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Baerum Basket forced 19 Gimle BBK turnovers. The best player for the winners was guard Stian Mjos (183-89) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points, 10 assists and 4 steals. International guard Stian Berg (187-91, college: Nova SE, agency: Dynamics Global Management) chipped in 21 points. At the other side the best for losing team was international guard Eivind Lamo (195-96) who recorded 24 points and 8 rebounds and guard Sigurd Lorange (178-0) added 27 points respectively. Baerum Basket maintains fourth position with 10-5 record. Gimle BBK at the other side still keeps top place with one game lost. Baerum Basket are looking forward to face Asker Aliens (#9) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Gimle BBK will have a break next round.
