There was an upset in Badalona where 4th placed Sant Josep (6-5) was defeated by eleventh ranked Martinenc (3-8) 78-73 on Saturday. Strangely Sant Josep outrebounded Martinenc 57-39 including 22 on the offensive glass. Sant Josep was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was swingman Borja Pascual (190-86) who scored 28 points and 4 steals. Point guard Pau Mayor (-96) chipped in 20 points and 4 assists. Martinenc's coach Hugo Gonzalez used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. Luis-Enrique Gonzalez produced a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds and guard Francesc Pascal (188-85) added 21 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Despite that victory Martinenc went down to twelfth position (Group C-B) due to points difference, which they share with Barbera. Loser Sant Josep dropped to the fifth place with five games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
