There was an upset when higher ranked Azuqueca (6-4) was edged at home by ninth ranked L'Hospitalet (4-6) 79-76 on Saturday. L'Hospitalet made 23-of-28 free shots (82.1 percent) during the game. Azuqueca was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was power forward Ivan Garcia (206-86) who scored 18 points and 6 rebounds. Senegalese center Mouhamadou Diop (212-87) chipped in 10 points. Point guard Carlos Calvo (178-94) produced 26 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and Nigerian forward Jeffrey Solarin (193-92, college: Idaho St.) added 11 points and 14 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. L'Hospitalet maintains ninth place in Silver with 4-6 record. Newly promoted Azuqueca keeps the fifth position with four games lost.
