Very important is a road loss of third ranked Ermis Agias (5-2) against fifth ranked Karditsas (4-3) on Saturday night. Visiting Ermis Agias was defeated by Karditsas in a tough game in Karditsa 69-76. Karditsas forced 20 Ermis Agias turnovers. Strangely Ermis Agias outrebounded Karditsas 38-21 including 27 on the defensive glass. They shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 57.1 percentage. Ermis Agias was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. The winners were led by guard Nikos Kaklamanos (189-81) who scored that evening 20 points and guard Panagiotis Ermidis (185-87) supported him with 11 points and 4 assists. Even a double-double of 11 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists by the former international forward Nestoras Kommatos (203-77) did not help to save the game for Ermis Agias. Latvian Rihards Kuksiks (201-88, college: Arizona St.) added 15 points for the guests. Four Ermis Agias players scored in double figures. Ermis Agias' coach Stefanos Perkos rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Karditsas maintains fifth position with 4-3 record, which they share with 5 other teams. Ermis Agias at the other side keeps the third place with two games lost. They share the position with Amyntas Dafnis. Karditsas will play against Marousi (#12) in Athens in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Ermis Agias will play at home against Koroivos (#6) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
