Regular Season Round 11: Katy Wroclawskie - Pleszew 78-77

Very predictable result when fifth ranked Katy Wroclawskie (8-4) edged at home 10th ranked Pleszew (4-8) 78-77 on Saturday. However just one-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The best player for the winners was swingman Grzegorz Kaczmarek (193-83) who scored 33 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds. Point guard Michal Lipinski (185-86) chipped in 5 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Swingman Grzegorz Malecki (195-84, agency: Promotex) produced 27 points and Mikolaj Spala (189-93) added 17 points and 6 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) respectively for the guests. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Katy Wroclawskie. They moved-up to third place in Group D, which they share with Koscian and AZS PO. Loser Pleszew keeps the tenth position with eight games lost. Katy Wroclawskie will face AZS PO (#5) in Opole in the next round. Pleszew will play at home against Sudety (#6) and hope to win that game.
