Very important is a road loss of first ranked Zary (10-2) against seventh ranked Slask 2 Wroclaw (7-5) on Saturday night. Visiting Zary was crushed by Slask 2 Wroclaw in Wroclaw 106-76. It ended at the same time the 13-game winning streak of Zary. Slask 2 Wroclaw shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Zary's players. Forward Maksymilian Zagorski (198-99) orchestrated the victory by scoring 13 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Power forward Szymon Tomczak (201-98) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Four Slask 2 Wroclaw players scored in double figures. Point guard Mariusz Matczak (180-86) answered with 18 points and swingman Dawid Kolkowski (192-96, college: Faith Baptist) added 12 points in the effort for Zary. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Slask 2 Wroclaw moved-up to sixth place in Group D, which they share with Sudety. Newly promoted Zary still keeps top position with two games lost. Slask 2 Wroclaw will play against higher ranked Koscian (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Zary will play against the league's second-placed Klodzko and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
