Regular Season Round 12: Nidaros Jets - Asker Aliens 77-83

Bottom-ranked Asker Aliens managed to get a second victory, breaking the two-game losing streak. This time they won against ninth-ranked Nidaros Jets in Tromdheim 83-77. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 25-21. But Nidaros Jets won second period 19-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Asker Aliens won last quarter 21-17. It was a good game for American point guard Jerrod Hendricks (175-91, college: King) who led his team to a victory with 24 points and 4 assists. Guard Ulrik Stranger-Johannessen (192-99) contributed with 21 points and 9 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. Asker Aliens' coach Tommy Gundersen allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American forward Tylor Wimbish (201-93, college: Mo.-St.Louis) replied with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds and Serbian-Swedish guard Stefan Zivkovic (185-93) added 19 points and 4 assists in the effort for Nidaros Jets. Asker Aliens (2-10) moved-up to ninth place. Nidaros Jets lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom position with 12 games lost. Asker Aliens will play against higher ranked Baerum Basket (#4) in Bekkestua in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Nidaros Jets will play on the road against Tromso (#6) and hope to get back on the winning track.
