Top ranked Real Murcia (7-3) recorded its third loss at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by sixth ranked Girona Basquet (5-5) 71-58. The best player for the winners was forward Jordi Trias (208-80) who scored 17 points and 8 rebounds. American guard Henry Bolton (188, college: USC Aiken) chipped in 11 points. Five Girona Basquet players scored in double figures. American forward Deshawn Curtis (198-92, college: Cheyney, agency: Duran International) produced 12 points and 6 rebounds and the other American import forward Connor Beranek (198-94, college: Nebraska-Kearney, agency: Duran International) added 12 points respectively for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted Girona Basquet maintains sixth place in Silver with 5-5 record. Real Murcia at the other side still keeps top position with three games lost. Girona Basquet are looking forward to face league's second-placed HLA Alicante at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Real Murcia will play against Menorca and is hoping to win this game.
