Regular Season Round 11: Benahavis - Utrera 80-74

Not a big story in a game when 4th placed Utrera (4-5) was defeated on the road by second ranked Benahavis (7-2) 80-74 on Saturday. Benahavis looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Jermaine Sanders (196-92, college: Cincinnati) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. His fellow American import power forward Malik London (203-92, college: Tenn-Martin) chipped in a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds. Adrian Camino (189-95) produced 13 points and forward Andres Tejada (195-98) added 12 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Benahavis maintains second place in Group D-B with 7-2 record behind leader Lliria, which they share with DKV San Fernando. Loser Utrera dropped to the sixth position with five games lost. Benahavis will face league's second-placed DKV San Fernando at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Utrera will play against Real Betis II (#9) in Sevilla and hope to win that game.
