Regular Season Round 9: Bankeryd - Orebro 130-56

Bottom-ranked Orebro is still unable to win any game. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they lost on the road their seventh consecutive match to third ranked Bankeryd (5-2) 130-56 on Saturday evening. The game without a history. Bankeryd led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Orebro's 30. Bankeryd forced 20 Orebro turnovers and outrebounded them 42-23 including a 34-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Orebro's players. It was a good game for guard Marcus Homelius (183-94) who led his team to a victory with 37 points (!!!) and 5 assists. American Edward Jenkins (, college: Patrick Henry CC) contributed with 24 points, 8 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) for the winners. Five Bankeryd players scored in double figures. Serbian guard Aleksa Simovic (190-86) answered with 17 points and 6 rebounds and Adam Hammarback (-90) added 14 points and 4 assists in the effort for Orebro. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Bankeryd. They moved-up to second place, which they share with BG Lulea. Orebro lost their fifth game in a row. They still close the standings with seven games lost. Bankeryd will face Kalmar (#6) on the road in the next round.
