This time Zentro Basket used a home court advantage and smashed the opponent from Villaviciosa 98-72 on Saturday night. Zentro Basket outrebounded Casvi 45-23 including a 32-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Casvi's players. The best player for the winners was power forward Cristobal Gana (201-93) who scored 18 points and 8 rebounds. Power forward Guillermo Bastante (201-98) chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds. Four Zentro Basket players scored in double figures. Forward Modesto Vazquez (200-95) produced 16 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and Danish guard Emil Hjorth (196-96) added 9 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Zentro Basket (5-6) moved-up to eighth place in Group B, which they share with Pozuelo. Loser Casvi keeps the eleventh position with seven games lost. Zentro Basket will face Daimiel (#16) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Casvi will play against Pozuelo (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
