Very expected game in Los Llanos where 14th ranked Aridane (3-8) was edged by eighth ranked Quintanar (6-5) 86-83 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was Canadian guard Brandon Tull (193, college: Regina) who scored 26 points. American guard K.J. Bluford (185-93, college: E.Kentucky) chipped in 22 points. Mali-American power forward Nouhoum Bocoum (207-92, college: Arkansas St.) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds and swingman Eudaldo Gonzalez (193-93) added 13 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Aridane's coach Carlos Garcia let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Quintanar moved-up to sixth place in Group B, which they share with Rivas. Aridane lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the fifteenth position with eight games lost. Quintanar will face higher ranked Tenerife Naut. (#3) in Santa Cruz de Ten. in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Aridane will play on the road against Estudiantes B (#10) in Madrid and hope to win that game.
