Regular Season Round 12: Polonia Leszno - Sokol Lancut 85-74

Round 12 in 1Liga means a new league leader. The biggest surprise took place in Leszno where host Polonia Leszno (8-4) beat league's leader Sokol Lancut (9-3) 85-74 on Saturday evening. Polonia Leszno looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international Kamil Chanas (190-85) who scored 22 points and 5 assists. Stanferd Sanny (186-94) chipped in 17 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Four Polonia Leszno players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Wiktor Sewiol (198-97, college: N.Platte CC) who recorded 13 points and point guard Dawid Zagula (185-96) added 16 points respectively. Polonia Leszno moved-up to third place, which they share with Enea Astoria and WKK Wroclaw. Sokol Lancut lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the second position with three games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Slask Wroclaw. Sokol Lancut will play next round against Polfarmex trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Polonia Leszno will try to continue on its current victory against seventh ranked Gornik in Walbrzych.
