And finally the game worth to mention about is the one where seventh ranked Rivas (6-5) beat 6th ranked Pozuelo (5-6) on the road by 5 points 75-70 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Pozuelo. The best player for the winners was power forward Angel Gomez (197-87) who scored 13 points and 9 rebounds. Forward Pablo Gimenez (192-91) chipped in 11 points. Four Rivas players scored in double figures. Power forward Daniel Busto (203-92, college: Ohlone CC) produced 13 points and 9 rebounds and guard Alberto Arias (188-89) added 14 points respectively for the hosts. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Rivas have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to sixth place in Group B, which they share with Quintanar. Newly promoted Pozuelo dropped to the eighth position with six games lost. Rivas will face Estudio (#13) in Madrid in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Pozuelo will play on the road against Casvi (#11) in Villaviciosa and hope to win that game.
