Regular Season Round 5: Nice - CFBB 82-70

The game between closely ranked teams ended with bottom-ranked CFBB's (0-5) road loss to tenth ranked Nice (2-3) 70-82 on Saturday. Nice dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to CFBB's 24. Nice forced 24 CFBB turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by CFBB's players. Forward Kelly Corre (180-91) stepped up and scored 24 points and 8 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) for the winners and American guard Donica Cosby (172-88, college: Oklahoma City, agency: Two Points) chipped in 11 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. Four Nice players scored in double figures. Forward Zoe Wadoux (178-1) responded with 34 points (!!!) and Mariama Daramy scored 11 points and 9 rebounds. Nice moved-up to eighth place, which they share with COB Calais and Reze. Loser CFBB still closes the standings with five games lost. Nice will face league's leader Chartres on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. CFBB will play against COB Calais (#8) and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
