Regular Season Round 8: Zadar - Ragusa 84-63

No shocking result in a game when third ranked KK Zadar (7-1) crushed at home 7th ranked Ragusa (4-4) 84-63. The game without a history. KK Zadar led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Ragusa's 30. They outrebounded Ragusa 50-31 including a 35-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. 25 personal fouls committed by Ragusa helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was power forward Ana Vrsaljko (188-84) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds. Forward Ana Mandic (180-1) chipped in 17 points and 8 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Five KK Zadar players scored in double figures. The former international guard Carmen Miloglav (170-91, college: FIU, agency: ProDep Management) produced 15 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 6 steals and point guard Ana Haklicka (172-0) added 18 points respectively for the guests. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. KK Zadar have an impressive six-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Medvescak. Ragusa at the other side keeps the seventh position with four games lost. KK Zadar's next round opponent will be league's leader ZKK Split on the road and it will be for sure the game of the week. Ragusa will play against Tresnjevka (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
