Regular Season Round 11: Valencia II - L'Horta Godella 72-53

Everything went according to plan when second ranked Valencia-2 (8-1) outleveled at home 8th ranked L'Horta Godella (1-8) 72-53 on Saturday. Valencia-2 dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to L'Horta Godella's 22. Valencia-2 forced 20 L'Horta Godella turnovers and outrebounded them 47-33 including 21 on the offensive glass. The best player for the winners was Jon Galarza (193-97) who scored 14 points and 6 rebounds. Slovakian center Tomas Pavelka (217-0) chipped in 12 points and 7 rebounds. Point guard Daniel Zafon (179-95) produced 15 points and 8 rebounds and forward Alberto Cubells (190-87) added 9 points respectively for the guests. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Valencia-2 have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They keep a position of Group E-A leader, which they share with Lliria. L'Horta Godella lost eighth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the eighth place with eight games lost. Valencia-2 will face Aldaia (#6) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. L'Horta Godella will play against Paterna and hope to win that game.
