There was a surprise result when sixteenth ranked Daimiel (2-9) outscored on the road higher ranked CB Guadalajara (7-4) 77-49 on Sunday. Daimiel dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to CB Guadalajara's 24. Daimiel forced 19 CB Guadalajara turnovers. The best player for the winners was American guard Anthony Holliday (191-92, college: Lamar) who scored 23 points. Power forward Jose-Luis Otero (203-89) chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds. Four Daimiel players scored in double figures.
