Regular Season Round 11: Estudiantes L. - PBB 72-76

We should not miss the game where sixth ranked PBB (6-2) against 5th ranked Estudiantes L. (5-3) where PBB won on the road by four points 76-72. PBB made 18-of-20 charity shots (90.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 21 Estudiantes L. turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for point guard Lucas Vaquero (185-89) who led the winners and scored 17 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals. Jorge Cabaleiro accounted for 20 points for the winning side. Gabriel Gomez (195-95) came up with 14 points and 8 rebounds and Senegalese forward Mor Niang (201-99) added 15 points respectively for Estudiantes L. in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. PBB have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to third place in Group A-B, which they share with Ponferrada CDP and Culleredo. Estudiantes L. lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth position with three games lost. PBB's next round opponent will be Gijon Basket (#8) at home which should be theoretically an easy game. Estudiantes L. will play against Culleredo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
