Very predictable result when sixth ranked San Giovanni (6-3) won against on the road 14th ranked Savonese (2-8) 70-54 on Sunday. Quite impressive performance for naturalized Argentinian swingman Macarena Rosset (178-91) who helped to win the game recording 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Point guard Viviana Giordano (167-89) contributed with 17 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four San Giovanni players scored in double figures. Point guard Federica Alesiani (168-97) replied with 11 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and Slovakian center Sona Svetlikova (184-99) added 11 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Savonese. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. San Giovanni maintains sixth position in A2 with 6-3 record. Loser Savonese dropped to the thirteenth place with eight games lost. San Giovanni will face higher ranked Spezzina (#3) in La Spezia in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Savonese will play on the road against Forli (#16) and hope to win that game.
