Very expected game when 6th ranked Gifu Swoops (4-12) were defeated on the road by second ranked Tokyo Excel. (15-1) 80-67 on Sunday. American forward Jordan Faison (201-94, college: Cal Poly Pomona) fired a double-double by scoring 20 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Point guard Aiki Tanno (172-95) chipped in 16 points. Four Tokyo Excel. players scored in double figures. Tokyo Excel.'s coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American Bingo Merriex (206-80, college: TCU) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and Canadian center Michael Allison (206-90, college: Maine) added 16 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. The victory was the fifteenth consecutive win for Tokyo Excel.. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Koshigaya A. Gifu Swoops lost their eighth game in a row. Newly promoted team keep the sixth place with 12 games lost.
