Regular Season Round 10: Porvoon Tarmo - HNMKY 52-102

There was no surprise when 12th ranked Porvoon Tarmo (1-7) was crushed at home by eighth ranked HNMKY (4-5) 102-52 on Sunday. The game without a history. HNMKY led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They also forced 26 Porvoon Tarmo turnovers and outrebounded Porvoon Tarmo 45-31 including 17 on the offensive glass. HNMKY looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Porvoon Tarmo's players. Forward Jesper Granlund (195-0) fired 22 points for the winners. Forward Markus Vallila (193-93) chipped in 15 points and 4 assists. Five HNMKY players scored in double figures. HNMKY's coach felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Forward Elias Lahdensuu (193-98) produced 15 points and 7 rebounds and center Otso Laakkonen (200-93) added 13 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. HNMKY maintains eighth position in Division with 4-5 record. Loser Porvoon Tarmo keeps the twelfth place with seven games lost. HNMKY will face Forssan Koripojat (#9) at home in the next round. Porvoon Tarmo will play against ToPo Juniorit in Helsinki and hope to win that game.
