Regular Season Round 9: DSN - Ogre 66-77

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Riga where 5th ranked DSN (6-3) was defeated by sixth ranked Ogre (5-4) 77-66. It looked good early as DSN took a 1-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Ogre had a 26-20 second period charge getting the lead and DSN was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 66-77. Forward Ricards Atars (200-3) nailed a double-double by scoring 13 points and 18 rebounds for the winning side and forward Patriks Lipskis (191-3) accounted for 15 points and 7 rebounds. Four Ogre players scored in double figures. Swingman Mariss Stasans (182-3) came up with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 15 rebounds and guard Ralfs Supe (166-3) added 8 points respectively for DSN in the defeat. DSN's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Ogre maintains sixth place with 5-4 record. DSN at the other side dropped to the fourth position with three games lost. They share it with MuKi. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
