Regular Season Round 9: DSN - Saule 55-64

BBBL top team - Lithuanian Saule (8-0) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat fifth ranked Latvian DSN (6-3) in Riga 64-55. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of DSN. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But DSN won third quarter 27-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Saule dominated on the defensive end, holding DSN to just 5 points in fourth quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to DSN's 24. Titas Pazarauskas (-3) nailed 13 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side and Kristupas Sadulskis (-3) accounted for 14 points. Mikus Vitols came up with 16 points and 5 assists and swingman Mariss Stasans (182-3) added 5 points and 5 rebounds respectively for DSN in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the eighth consecutive win for Saule. They maintain first place with 8-0 record. DSN at the other side dropped to the fourth position with three games lost. They share it with MuKi. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
