There was a surprise result when twelfth ranked Porto S.Elpidio (4-6) beat at home higher ranked Bisceglie (7-3) 69-63 on Sunday. Strangely Bisceglie outrebounded Porto S.Elpidio 44-32 including 35 on the defensive glass. Forward Diego Torresi (200-92) fired a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Guard Davide Marchini (185-95, agency: Players Group) chipped in 15 points and 4 assists. Four Porto S.Elpidio players scored in double figures. Forward Gianluca Tredici (198-92) produced 15 points and 6 rebounds and center Daniele Tomasello (203-93) added 4 points and 15 rebounds respectively for lost side. Porto S.Elpidio maintains twelfth position in B with 4-6 record. Loser Bisceglie dropped to the third place with three games lost. Porto S.Elpidio will face higher ranked Corato (#11) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Bisceglie will play against Nardo (#10) and hope to win that game.
