The most exciting game of round 9 in the EBLK took place in Gorzow Wlkp.. This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of 6th ranked AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski (5-3) to fifth ranked Artego Bydg. (6-1) 74-73 on Sunday evening. It was a good game for the former international forward Elzbieta Miedzik (180-83) who saved her team from a defeat with 20 points and 7 rebounds. Chilean center Ziomara Morrison (194-89) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Artego Bydg. players scored in double figures. Belarusian forward Maryia Papova (189-94) answered with 20 points and Belgian center Kyara Linskens (189-96, agency: LBM Management) added 11 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski. Artego Bydg. moved-up to fourth place. AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski at the other side dropped to the seventh position with three games lost. Artego Bydg. are looking forward to face Wisla Krakow (#5) at home in the next round. AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski will play against the league's leader CCC Polkowice and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
