An interesting game for Sleza Wroclaw (7-1) which hosted in Wroclaw 4th placed Wisla Krakow (6-2). Third ranked Sleza Wroclaw managed to get a 11-point victory 80-69. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Wisla Krakow. It was a key game for the second position in the league. American Cierra Burdick (188-93, college: Tennessee, agency: LBM Management) stepped up and scored 15 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners and her fellow American import point guard Sydney Colson (170-89, college: Texas A&M, agency: LBM Management) chipped in 16 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Five Sleza Wroclaw players scored in double figures. Sleza Wroclaw's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was Spanish forward Maria Araujo (188-97) with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and Spanish guard Leonor Rodriguez-Manso (180-91, college: Florida St.) scored 15 points and 7 rebounds. Sleza Wroclaw have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They moved-up to second place. Wisla Krakow at the other side dropped to the fifth position with two games lost. Sleza Wroclaw will play against Widzew (#9) in Lodz in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Wisla Krakow will play on the road against Artego Bydg. (#4) in Bydgoszcz and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
