Regular Season Round 5: Iraklis - PAOK 58-82

Bottom-ranked Iraklis (0-4) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their fourth consecutive match to sixth ranked PAOK (2-2) 82-58 on Sunday evening. It was a great shooting night for PAOK especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 53.3 percentage. American Jessica Jackson (192-95, college: Arkansas) stepped up and scored 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and the former international guard Lolita Lymoura (180-85) chipped in 12 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Four PAOK players scored in double figures. American guard Zykira Lewis (173-94, college: Cent.Florida, agency: Two Points) responded with 16 points and 6 steals and the other American import center Jacqueline Blake (189-95, college: Houston) scored 15 points (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. PAOK maintains sixth place with 2-2 record, which they share with Esperides and Eleutheria M. Newly promoted Iraklis still closes the standings with four games lost. PAOK will face higher ranked Dafni Agioy (#3) in Athens in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Iraklis will play on the road against Eleutheria M. (#7) in Athens and hopes to get finally their first victory.
