Regular Season Round 6: Petah Tikva - Rishon Le-Zion 89-66

Date: December 3, 2018
Rather predictable result when third ranked Hap.Petah Tikva (4-2) smashed at home 7th ranked Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion (2-4) 89-66. Hap.Petah Tikva made 21-of-25 charity shots (84.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion turnovers. Hap.Petah Tikva players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. International forward Tslil Vaturi (175-98) notched a double-double by scoring 14 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the effort and American point guard Alexis Peterson (170-95, college: Syracuse, agency: LBM Management) supported her with 20 points and 8 assists. Hap.Petah Tikva's coach felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even a double-double of 17 points and 23 rebounds by American power forward Jillian Alleyne (190-94, college: Oregon) did not help to save the game for Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion. Her fellow American import forward Breanna Richardson (185-95, college: Mississippi St.) added 14 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Hap.Petah Tikva moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with four games lost. They share it with Ramat Hasharon and Maccabi Raanana. Hap.Petah Tikva will play against Ramat Hasharon (#9) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion will play against Maccabi Ashdod and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
