Regular Season Round 8: Triglav - Montana 62-79

Date: December 5, 2018
The game in Kranj was also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Bulgarian Montana 2003 (4-3) played at the court of 6th ranked Slovenian Triglav (2-5). Montana 2003 did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 79-62 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by Montana 2003. Triglav managed to win fourth quarter 22-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 17-of-17 free shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. Montana 2003 outrebounded Triglav 38-25 including a 31-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Taylor Manuel (190-93, college: Mississippi) who helped to win the game recording 27 points and 7 rebounds (was perfect 11-for-11 from the free throw line !!!) and power forward Dimana Georgieva (188-88) who added 12 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Montana 2003's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Guard Eva Prevodnik (166-99) responded with 10 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists and point guard Rebeka Abramovic (172-93) scored 18 points. Defending Bulgarian champion maintains fourth position with 4-3 record, which they share with Buducnost. Triglav lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with five games lost. Montana 2003 will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Triglav will play against Tresnjevka (#8) in Zagreb and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
