Regular Season Round 14: Jamtland - Koping Stars 95-61
Date: December 5, 2018
Very predictable result when third ranked KFUM Jamtland (11-5) rolled over 8th ranked Koping Stars (4-10) in Ostersund 95-61 on Wednesday. The game without a history. KFUM Jamtland led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 20-of-26 free shots (76.9 percent) during the game. KFUM Jamtland forced 20 Koping Stars turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Koping Stars' players. American power forward RT Guinn (208-81, college: Baylor) notched a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds to lead the effort and DR Congolese power forward Evariste Shonganya (204-92) supported him with 8 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists. Four KFUM Jamtland players scored in double figures. Even 9 points and 7 rebounds by Serbian guard Aleksa Solevic (188-93, agency: Dynamics Global Management) did not help to save the game for Koping Stars. American guard Devin Sibley (188-96, college: Furman) added 12 points and 5 rebounds for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Despite that victory KFUM Jamtland went down to fourth position due to points difference. Newly promoted Koping Stars keep the eighth place with ten games lost. KFUM Jamtland will meet Nassjo (#6) on the road in the next round. Koping Stars will play against Boras Basket and hope to secure a win.
