Regular Season Round 18: Huracanes - Angeles 74-77

The most interesting game of round 18 in the LNBP was only three-point a home defeat of 7th ranked Huracanes (2-14) to seventh ranked Angeles (3-13) 77-74 in the game for the seventh place. Angeles dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to Huracanes' 20. American power forward Bryan Davis (206-86, college: Texas A&M) scored 22 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Puerto Rican forward Carlos Lopez-Sosa (208-90, college: UNLV) chipped in 18 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Four Angeles players scored in double figures. Angeles' coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was swingman Manuel Hernandez (193-91) with 27 points and American point guard Jeffery Stubbs (189-91, college: Jackson St.) scored 16 points and 6 assists. Newly promoted Angeles maintains seventh position with 3-13 record which they share with defeated Huracanes. Huracanes at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keep the seventh place with 14 games lost. Angeles will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Huracanes will play again at home against Angeles (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
