Regular Season Round 10: Piestanske C. - UKF Nitra 69-44

The game between Top Four teams took place in Piestany. Third ranked host Piestanske C. (6-3) smashed one of their biggest challengers UKF Nitra (5-3) 69-44. They outrebounded UKF Nitra 45-20 including a 14-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Canadian center Jessica Lubin (185-90) had a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American point guard Janee Thompson (170-93, college: Kentucky) chipped in 13 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Four Piestanske C. players scored in double figures. At the losing side point guard Adela Kudlickova (166-94) responded with 11 points and American forward Camesha Davis (185-94, college: Texas A&M-CC) scored 7 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Piestanske C. have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 6-3 record having five points less than leader MBK Ruzomb. UKF Nitra lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with three games lost. Piestanske C. are looking forward to face league's leader MBK Ruzomberok on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. UKF Nitra will play against Slovan in Bratislava and is hoping to prove to their fans that they can break losing series.
