There was a minor upset in Vimpeli where 7th ranked Forssan Alku (6-7) was defeated by ninth ranked ViVe (5-7) 88-70 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by ViVe. Forssan Alku managed to win second period 16-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 28-of-32 free shots (87.5 percent) during the game, while Forssan Alku only scored nine points from the stripe. Americans were the main players on the court also this time. Swingman Donnaizha Fountain (183-95, college: Seton Hall, agency: Gamble Sports Management) fired a double-double by scoring 27 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Forward Alisia Jenkins (186-94, college: S.Florida) chipped in a double-double by scoring 18 points and 16 rebounds. Forward Mia Loyd (180-94, college: N.Dakota) produced a double-double by scoring 27 points and 13 rebounds and guard Emily Kinneston (172-96, college: American, agency: Gamble Sports Management) added 14 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. ViVe moved-up to seventh place. Forssan Alku lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth position with seven games lost. ViVe will meet higher ranked Catz Lappeenranta (#5) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Forssan Alku will play against the league's second-placed Espoo Team having rather not much hope for a victory.
