Regular Season Round 8: Buducnost - Tresnjevka 95-16

Bottom-ranked Croatian Tresnjevka (0-7) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 95-16 loss to fifth ranked Montenegrin Buducnost (4-3) in Podgorica. The game without a history. Buducnost led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They held Tresnjevka to an opponent 12.5 percent shooting from the field compared to 64.6 percent accuracy of the winners. Buducnost forced 36 Tresnjevka turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists comparing to just 3 passes made by Tresnjevka's players. Bosnian guard Nikolina Babic (177-95, agency: BeoBasket) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points, 5 assists and 7 steals. Lithuanian guard Laurita Jurciute (176-98) contributed with 12 points and 4 assists for the winners. Five Buducnost players scored in double figures. Buducnost's coach felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Center Josipa Pavic (189-99) replied with 4 points and 6 rebounds and center Marta Savic (188-1) added 4 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Tresnjevka. Defending Montenegrin champion moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Montana. Tresnjevka at the other side still closes the standings with seven games lost. Buducnost will play against higher ranked Celje (#3) on the road in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Tresnjevka will play against Triglav (#6) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
