Very important is a road loss of second ranked Defensor (7-3) against eleventh ranked Trouville (6-6) on Thursday night. Visiting Defensor was defeated by Trouville in Montevideo 98-80. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Defensor. Trouville shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 61.9 percentage. The winners were led by American guard Donald Robinson (193-89, college: W.Virginia Tech) who scored that evening 28 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Hernando Caceres (201-94, agency: Pro Sports) supported him with 22 points and 5 rebounds. Four Trouville players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 22 points and 10 rebounds by American center Anthony-Laveal Johnson (203-88, college: Fairfield) did not help to save the game for Defensor. His fellow American import forward Patrick Sanders (201-85, college: Cal-Irvine) added 14 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Trouville moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Atenas and Bigua. Loser Defensor dropped to the third position with three games lost. They share it with Malvin.
