An interesting game took place in Changchun where higher ranked Jilin Tigers (6-9) were upset on its own court by sixteenth ranked Eagles (5-11) 117-110. They made 32-of-41 charity shots (78.0 percent) during the game. Eagles outrebounded Jilin Tigers 47-32 including a 33-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. 29 personal fouls committed by Jilin Tigers helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American power forward Dakari Johnson (213-95, college: Kentucky) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 22 rebounds and 6 assists (on 12-of-13 shooting from the field). His fellow American import point guard Jonathan Gibson (188-87, college: N.Mexico St.) contributed with 38 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Eagles' coach Bin Fan allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Polish-Swedish power forward Maciej Lampe (211-85) answered with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds and American guard Dominique Jones (193-88, college: S.Florida) added 27 points (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) in the effort for Jilin Tigers. Four Jilin Tigers players scored in double figures. Eagles moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with Nanjing TX MK. Jilin Tigers lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the thirteenth position with nine games lost. Eagles' next round opponent will be higher ranked Leopards (#6) in Shenzhen and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
